The Maine Art Education Association is a statewide professional organization for visual arts
educators in Maine. The purpose of MAEA includes the professional development of its
members, the promotion of art education at all levels, the encouragement of innovation and
research in art education, providing a forum for the exchange of ideas through Multi Media,
the sponsorship of statewide conferences, professional workshops, institutes and programs,
and collaborative efforts with other agencies in the state to further the growth of art education
in Maine. We are working for stronger art programs for Maine's youth!
